Want to know what's in it?
Very happy with this so far. My only problem was not being able to determine exactly what was in it before buying it, so I will reveal that here in case others are wondering. Before I do, I will say that the associated app is pretty cool. It lets you draw out a track, lets you try it out, and then creates building instructions for it. I have tried to use the nomenclature found on the Ravensburger website in the following complete contents list: 18 gravispheres (steel balls - 9 silver, 3 red, 3 green, 3 blue) 8 base plates 2 transparent bases 2 small transparent bases 4 double balconies 16 balconies 2 long walls 2 medium walls 1 short wall 70 curve tiles 10 junction tiles (X) 2 3-in-1 tiles 4 Y-intersections/switch tiles 2 vortex tiles 16 base tiles - 8 are used for tunnels and 8 with other inserts - 2 straight tunnels - 4 curved tunnels - 2 Y-junction tunnels - 2 free-fall inserts - 4 catcher inserts - 2 splash inserts - 2 landing inserts 2 vertical u-turn tunnels 100 large height tiles 32 small height tiles 8 pillars 4 tunnel pillars 9 long rails 18 medium rails 27 short rails 3 curved rails (left) 3 curved rails (right) 2 dipped rails 2 drop rails 2 bent/Bernoulli rails with supports 2 long thin rails 2 long slow rails 2 finish lines 1 3-way starter 1 spinner 2 magnetic cannons 1 loop 1 scoop 1 hammer 1 vertical splitter (pro) 1 vertical mixer (pro) 1 helix (pro) 1 turntable (pro) I have only had it a few days, but it seems like a really good set to begin with, and there are still lots of other accessories that can be added. I already added spirals and trampolines, for example. Happy rolling!

Little engineer in training
I purchased this 'toy' over a year ago for my 8yo grandson is gifted with high intellect and ADHD. He has always been curious about how things work. At our local museum they have a giant 9 foot high marble run that he is captivated by. He has the marble run that is a series of tubes and that's fine for younger children but Gravitrax is so superior. He is constantly changing his layout, adding and subtracting pieces, trying to "build a better mouse trap". My cousin, who's an engineer, and my grandson play with this for hours. It's hard to tell who's the adult and who's the child. It is so wonderful watch him. I have since purchased all but one of the expansion pieces sold on Amazon. My complaints are only 2. You cannot purchase the height tiles separately and the catapult expansion piece uses a rubber band. Really? I can see that zinging off to parts unknown or eventually breaking. This is such a great toy for those budding engineers. No wonder it was STEM's toy of the year. Thank you Gravitrax.

I bought this for me… a 73 year old grandma AND I LOVE IT !!!!
I adore my grandkids and have a room called a “grandma room” filled with all sorts of toys, art supplies, puzzles, games, etc. I have an amazing marble run kit bought on Amazon years ago (and love it) but when my 5 year old grandson asked “why do they just go down? Can we make something that makes them go back up?” YES WE CAN !!! Gravitrax. I bought the GIANT kit and never have regretted it. It took me a while to figure out how the pieces work and even thought for a bit that I had to build “their” track ideas. But since it’s a track loved by STEM I decided to create my own. WOW!!! Let your mind go crazy ( or your grandkids’) and build the ultimate track that takes your marbles down and then propelled them back up for more. This is the gift that just keeps giving. I love it … as do my grandkids !!!! I highly recommend it !!! Enjoy !!!

Don't loose your marbles!
A costly venture, but worth the price! I discovered Gravitrax and totally wanted to get a set or two. After digging into everything, I kind of realized, this is probably the best way to go, if you're gonna go all in on the Gravitrax. It includes a number of items that aren't as easy to find in the individual. Especially here in the United States, where their whole product line isn't as easily obtainable. You can do some pretty respectable setups with this set. I'd totally recommend though grabbing a few extras if you can. The accessories that kick your marble along, or rise it up. It's got a few, but you'll want more! Ha. A little extra info. I discovered Gravitrax via 3d printing, where I printed up a whole set. There's actually a lot of friction in those 3d printed parts though that isn't there in the real deal product. You could 3d print a warehouse of this stuff, but you're better off getting the real thing. One offs, probably not a big deal. But to get a really complex setup without having to do a bunch of drops... the balls just run smoother on the official products by the nature of what it all is.

Missing piece
I received the Gravitrax Pro Giant set in the mail yesterday. My son began assembling it, but the "hammer" piece was missing from our box. I contacted Ravensburger for a replacement piece. When they send us the missing piece, I will upgrade my stars. My son (age 14) really likes this set and is excited to use it, we just hope the green "hammer" piece is sent to us.

Bought this Giant Set after I bought an XXL set paid over 100AUD. I decided to send back the XXL and bought this Giant instead as I realized my son was already asking for some extra additional pieces that cost a lot and the XXL was not yet received. This Giant set has everything to build hundreds of tracks without missing out. I loved it so much myself that I decided to order also the Power Extension.... Spent over 600AUD on everything but I know my son (9 years old) will use it for many years and will be staying away from PS4-5 and the similar mind numbing electronic games........ Everything was in the packages and nothing missing. Thanks Ravensburger for providing this fantastic puzzle game.

The only way to get into gravitrax. Bought for a 7 and 5 year old, this has provided hours and hours of entertainment. It might seem like far too much to start with but you really want this much for 1 kid, let alone 2, to really play around with ideas and actually have fun. We've since purchased more towers, a few expansions and some third party 3d printed parts and there's no sign that we are anywhere near close to tapping out with this stuff - the designs are ever more efficient but the box is still more or less empty at the end of a building session.
