Playstation 1 Memory Card (1 MB)

I was pleased to find this due to the fact that my Playstation 1 Memory Card from decades ago had long since fried and erased all my data. This was a great alternative to the Sony version and cost practically nothing. It hasn't caused me any problems and serves its purpose well, definitely recommend if you're playing old games!

This is an off brand, but these days, they are very compatible. Have had no problems with the mem cartridge. Brought my PS1 back to life after moving and losing my old card. Even the PS3 systems with hardware for backward compatibility do not play all original PS1 games. Some of my favorites from PS1 just hang or the graphics are all over the place. Only true solution is to keep your PS1 kickin' !

Works as described

I purchased this thing for a penny (not including the 10 in S&H) and it's quite easily the cheapest thing I have purchased that has outlasted all the things I own from this site. It DOES work just fine and will hold all ps1 information without corrupting, stalling, or breaking. Thanks to this purchase I have had the time and pleasure of owning Final Fantasy 7-9, Legend of Dragoon, and a couple other classic favorites.

I was attracted by the .99 cent price tag figuring what could go wrong, but even if I didn't have to pay shipping and handling .99 is still too much. Unless you're actually looking to buy a piece of rectangular plastic, in which case it's a good price. Because that's all it is.

Since it's hard to find other cards now a days, this one worked great. Sadly one down side to it was, I didn't get the clear blue what is on the product which kinda sucks. But hey it's still good.

The details specifically explain, "Compatible w/ PS2 ONLY when playing PS1 games", So WARNING, Do not use for the ps1 console! So don't listen to most of the people that say it did't work! I bought this card for VERY cheap and i used it as a memory card for playing ps1 games on my ps2. The Card has 15 blocks of use (1mb) which is definitely enough for a while. I am still using the card, and have been for about 2 years. So yes it is VERY durable. This will help all your saving needs playing ps1 games on the ps2! Do not use with PSX!
