Great cup holder expander
I got a new, slightly larger phone and all of a sudden it didn't fit safely in any of my stroller caddy area. I came upon this cup holder expander and I was hoping that it would work. It does! Just two complaints. First, it's not stable in the cup holder. I had to wrap a cloth around the base and tape it in place so that it sits snuggly in my cup holder. This isn't a big deal, but it was a bit of a hassle, and I wish it came with some sort of gasket to make it fit snug and not rattle. Second complaint is that my fingers have to fit in a small slot between the handle and the expander. Unfortunately, this product has slightly sharp edges, which hurt my fingers. I wish the edges were smooth. Other than that, I am happy.

Works for me but sharp edges and wobbly
I like these for my kidโs water bottles that are just slightly too big for the backseat drink holders. My husband had to file them down bc the edges were sharp. I had to add big pieces of rubber from a tractor toys to help them stay in the backseat cup holders. They are still wobbly and come out sometimes but serve my purpose. Not sure if the backseat cup holders in my car are different from the front seat. They could work better in the front, I havenโt checked. I gave 4 stars bc they work and price was 1/2 or less than others that might work better.

Easy Modification -- Prevents holder from tipping with heavy drinks
More than you need or wanted to know about a cup holder. My auto's cup holder inside diameter is 3 5/32 inch. The bottom section of the Gadjits Cup Keeper outside diameter tapers from 2 5/8 to 2 1/2 inch. It fit loose in my cars holder and was top heavy with cups with handles or large drinks. My first thought was to add weight (quikrete?) inside the holders hollow bottom section for stabilization. However a better and easier solution: Cut a small piece of foam / pipe insulation and tape it to the outside of the holders bottom section. It only has to be a small piece aprox 3 X 4 1/2 inch. It should be longer than the bottom section of the Gadjits and extend to bottom of your auto's holder (for leverage). It does not (and probably should not) wrap all the way around the cup holder. A scrap piece of 3/4 inch pipe foam insulation from a hardware/yellow box store ($1 for a 3 foot section) and black plastic electrical tape works perfect. This allows holder to be held firmly in place but easily removed and reinserted with no damage to car -- and it will NOT tip over OR out of auto's holder with a large drink or cup with handle. This modification make the Gadjits holder perfect.

Mostly good for very large cups
This cup holder adapter fits perfectly in my car's cup holder and it handles extra large/jumbo sized cups beautifully. Unfortunately, it doesn't do nearly as well with smaller cups that would have fit previously. Ideally, the bottom of this expanded cup holder should have a depressed circle in the middle the size of the original cup holder to securely hold smaller sized cups in place. Instead, the bottom is completely flat so smaller cups rattle around back and forth while you drive, which obviously isn't ideal. A cup of hot take out coffee could easily splatter on your leg using this thing. If you mostly buy the largest sized drinks then this cup holder might work for you. If you also buy smaller drinks you might want to see if you can find something like this that has a smarter design.

Solved my problem, great value
Loved my new travel coffee mug, but on even modest turns it would fall our of my CRV cup holders. This product solves the problem. It's surprisingly well made and sturdy--better quality plastic than I expected. And speaking of price, 2 for $10 is excellent. There is some wobble, as shown in my video, but how could they design one cup holder for every car and every mug? It will work fine as is, and I may pack some paper or felt around the base to make it perfectly secure. Nothing not to recommend, here.

Didn't fit right.
I ordered these for my friends smart car. They were advertised to fit in the cup holder and hold bigger cups than what the cup holders that come with the car can fit. They to hold bigger cups but they don't fit in the cup holder properly they're very loose so the cups will fall out. They're probably great for other vehicles but not for your average smart car

They get the job done
These work great in my older car. The ones there wouldn't even fit modern tapered tumblers. Just be sure to measure your existing cupholders. Some people here have unjustly complained that they are wobbly, but that is because they are trying to use them with existing cupholders that are too big. A few observations, though. The material is hard plastic and is not flexible. There is a notch, but it doesn't expand much. This is good in general, because smaller cups will not slip through. They are not open vertically through the center - there is a bottom panel at the point where the holders taper down. Overall, they are what I expected and get the job done.

Poor design, cheap materials
The Gadjit Cup Keeper is not worth $5 ($10 for the two pack). There is a one inch wide slit in the side that allows for a mug handle but I have never seen a mug with a handle that wide in my entire life. The sides of the upper half, the part that holds the container that you bought this thing for, are fairly flexible. Combine the wide slit with the flexible sides and you have an adapter that can not hold a full 24 oz Thermoflask through any turns or stops while driving. The Thermoflask simply falls out. The diameter is too wide and/or too short for my 32 oz RTIC tumbler and allows the tumbler to bounce around and spill. The diameter is too small for my YETI 10oz tumbler which gets stuck. It does work with most of my ceramic mugs that have a handle but I can not recommend this adapter for use with any other drink container.
